Explore Vancouver’s Dives Sites

Vancouver is home to fantastic sites for scuba diving at night. Nocturnal animals come out of hiding at night, the behavior of species you see during the day changes and familiar dives sites can feel completely different after the sun goes down.

Guided Local Shore Dives

Hop aboard and join us for a guided Howe Sound Boat diving experience! We leave from Horseshoe Bay, venturing into the emerald waters around Vancouver for 2 dives, exploring walls, pinnacles, rocky reefs and ship wrecks. Howe Sound is full of amazing wildlife including, Giant Pacific Octopus, Wolf Eels, Rockfish, Anemones, Sponges, Sea Stars and so much more!

Join one of our Monthly Guided Night Dives

Join our experienced guides for an unforgettable dive experience after the sun goes down. From Stubby Squid dives in the winter to bio-luminescence and sharks in the summer, there is always interesting animals to see after dark.

Whats Included:

  • 8 Am Meet at the dive site
    • Please arrive as early as possible to start loading the boat.
    • After unloading gear, there is paid lots for parking vehicles.
  • 9AM – Enter the water for our first dive
    • The boat departs at 9AM.
    • Please make sure that all gear is loaded and set on board before taking off.
  • 2 x Guided boat dives
    • We’ll have an hour longer surface interval between dives
    • Warm drink, soup or snacks
  • 2 PM – Arrive back at Horseshoe Bay
    • We will arrive back at Horseshoe Bay at 2PM
    • Unload our gear from the boat
    • Optional post dive hangout and lunch at Trolls Restaurant

Whats Included:

  • A Padi Dive Master or Instructor to assist you.
  • 2 Guided boat dives at two of the 25 different sites.
  • Hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate or soup during our surface interval.
  • Boat transportation from Horseshoe Bay to and from the dive sites.

Private Fun dives

1 Person: $200 | 2 People: $100 each

  • Book a private dive with just one person or, bring a friend.
  • Meet at the dive site of your choice at 5:30pm.
  • 2 Guided night shore dives.
  • Hot chocolate or tea provided during surface interval.
  • Search for seasonal animals like: Stubby Squid, Dogfish, Opalescent Squid and Nudibranchs.

Group Fun Dives

Group 3-4 People: $60 each

  • Monthly night dives run from fall to spring.
  • Meet at the dive site at 5:30pm.
  • 2 Guided night shore dives.
  • Hot chocolate or tea provided during surface interval.
  • Search for seasonal animals like: Stubby Squid, Dogfish, Opalescent Squid and Nudibranchs.

Night Dive Requirements:

  • Padi Open Water Certification (or equivalent)
  • Must have 2 dive lights, both a primary light and a backup light
  • Provide your own equipment. Gear rentals must be arranged ahead of time.
